Understanding the Basics of Secure-eBook
Make your eBooks easy to purchase
Secure-eBook provides a mean to protect your Adobe Reader PDF files within a package that makes it easier to purchase for your clients.
You will need two PDF files:
- Your full eBook
- A sample version of your eBook
People that access your eBook will initially only see the sample version of your eBook.
Once they purchase an activation key, they will get access to the full version.
Purchasing an activation key is made very easy:
A big orange “Buy Now” button sits at the top of your protected eBook.
When your reader feels like buying, he only has to click on the “Buy Now” button and he will be able to pay, get his activation code and access his eBook in no time!
You are also able to place a “Buy Now” button on your Web site for those clients who will prefer to purchase your eBooks right from your Web Site. See Integrate with your Web Site for more information.
Easy to receive payment
Secure-eBook is built to make it easy for you to receive payments.
In fact, Secure-eBook will integrate with your payment processor of choice for you - you will only need to adjust some simple configurations in your Secure-eBook account and in your Payment Processor account for them to work together. No fancy programming skills required! See Configure payment processor for more information.
This means that when your clients pay for their eBook, they will pay directly through your payment processor.
This means the money gets to you as fast as it can!
Inexpensive to operate
Every time you sell an eBook, a token is taken from your token pool 1).
Your token pool is the number of tokens you have purchased and not yet used for your Secure-eBook account. It is used for all the products you sell using Secure-eBook.
This means that you end up paying only for what you use!
