When you have a PayPal account, PayPal also offers a shopping cart that can be used for free. With Secure-eBook, you can use PayPal Shopping Cart to allow your clients to purchase many of your eBooks in one single purchase transaction.
Following are the instructions explaining how to configure your Secure-eBook account to work with PayPal Shopping Cart.
Activating the module is quite simple and requires only a few steps:
This activates the PayPal Shopping Cart module in your Secure-eBook.
You now need to configure the PayPal Shopping Cart module. To do so, click on the “Configure” link.
You can also get additional information by clicking on the question mark image.
The configuration process starts with a some instructions you have to follow in order to configure your PayPal account properly. Follow these steps carefully.
Once your PayPal account is properly configured, click on the “Next >” button.
The two next windows allow you to link your Secure-eBook account with your PayPal account.
On the first window, you need to enter your PayPal account ID which is the email address you use with your PayPal account.
On the second window, you have to enter an Identity Token which is found in your PayPal account
and then click on the “Finished” button.
Once your are back to the shopping cart modules page, now that the configuration is complete, you will notice that the PayPal Shopping Cart module is automatically enabled. You will also notice that new options are available.
By default, a “Thank You Page” and a “Thank You eMail” are already configured for you. They both contain the text that will be sent to your clients after they purchase your eBooks. You have the option to customize these texts by clicking on the “Thank You eMail” or on the “Thank You Page” links.
To allow your clients to add your eBooks to their shopping cart when visiting your Web site, you have to add buttons on your Web site for them to click on whenever they want to purchase one of your eBooks. You do this by clicking on the “Button Generator” link.
You will then have to select the product for which you want to create a button and customize it the way you want it to be displayed to your visitors. This will finally generate a small HTML code that you will put on your Web site.
NB:: To complete their purchase, your clients will have to click on a “Checkout” button. This button is generated from your PayPal account, as any other buttons that you would generate from your PayPal account.
You are now ready to sell your eBooks. Your clients will only have to choose the eBooks they want to purchase by clicking on corresponding buttons, and click on the “Checkout” button when they are ready to pay. Then, all the process is managed by Secure-Book, your money goes in your PayPal account, and your clients get instantly the eBooks they purchased.
