An activation key is the code that your clients need to activate their eBook.

Once an eBook is activated on a computer, it will show the full version of your eBook for that computer alone.

If your client copies the eBook on a different machine, he will only see the sample eBook and be given the option to purchase an activation key.

Your clients can always deactivate their eBook from one computer in order to activate it on another computer - but the eBook can only be activated on one computer at any given time¹⁾

The token pool is the tokens that are in your account that are ready to be used to generate activation keys.

The pool supplies all of your Secure-eBook products.

In most cases, an activation key will consume one token from your token pool.

However, you could configure your product (or even a single key) to use up more tokens and allow your client to activate your eBook on multiple computers at the same time.

At any time, you can purchase Tokens for your Secure-eBook account by clicking on “Buy Tokens” under the “My Activation Keys”.

Any tokens you purchase will be automatically added to your token pool as soon as payment is made.

Most of our clients like to purchase enough tokens to cover for one month of activity.

Secure-eBook will keep you notified on how your token pool is doing. It will send you emails to warn you before your pool gets empty.

If you do not yet have an idea of how many tokens you might need for a month, consider purchasing the smaller packages - just be sure to check your emails at least daily in the first few weeks. Since purchasing tokens works instantly, you will be sure to have enough time to purchase more tokens once you get a better feel of how many eBooks you sell.
